Transport
You can walk to Lovina and the beach. Walkways are steep and rocky, so private transport or use of scooter/motorbike is recommended.
There are several options:
- Rental of a car with driver (at fixed rates, a price list is included in the manual which is available in the villa)
- Rental of a self-drive car
- Rental of one or more self-drive scooters (125 cc)
The housekeeper and/or help desk staff can assist with all possible arrangements. Rental companies request an international driving licence for both cars and motorbikes/scooters/bicycles. Lovina and the coastal plains can be explored by bike.
Walking directions are available in de manual in the villa, or ask the staff.
Note: the winding uphill road to the villa you might call 'challenging'. Inexperienced car or scooter drivers might feel more relaxed when using a car with driver. The mountainous hairpins, left-hand driving and the Indonesian driving practice of fellow road users do request the necessary concentration and skills of any self-driver. The road uphill (to Munduk) is especially when driving down hill extremely dangerous and prone to brake over heating!
